A
walk in the park
It was a lovely summer day when Clark and Lex took a walk in Lex's garden – or rather in his park.
That was a first time for both of them. Never, they had taken a walk in the park, talking about everything under the sun. They had talked before – about lot of things – but usually in Lex's study, and lately, they hadn't talked at all.
They had been yelling, accusing, fighting each other – or short: they had been trying to put each other through hell.
Today it was different. They had fun, they were laughing and joking. They were friends again. Neither of them would have ever thought it was possible.
"Have your cell with you?" Clark suddenly asked just when they reached the pond on Lex's property. Actually, it was a lake, but Lex always referred to it as his little pond. Obviously, you set different standards when you are filthy rich.
Lex
stood still, watching his friend confused before slowly shaking his
head.
"I
left it in my study," he said. "I don't want to be
interrupted when I'm with... - Well, I don't have it with me. Why are
you asking?"
Clark
shrugged a little and jerked his head vaguely.
"Och...
I just don't wanna break it..."
Lex stared at him, bewildered, when suddenly -
SPLASH!
Puffing and blowing, Lex gasped for air, moving his hands over his wet face. Clark was standing on the lakefront, laughing.
"You look like a drowned cat!" Clark snorted with laughter. "Literally!"
"That was a 200 dollar shirt, Clark!" Lex replied, walking over to the lakefront, soaked. "I hope you had fun!"
Clark was laughing so hard that he could barely stand anymore while he tried to nod. "Oh yeah... that's gr-"
SPLASH!
Clark's
laughter died of and now it was him who was moving his hand over his
wet face and hair, staring at Lex in disbelieve.
"You...
you pulled me...?"
"I hope you don't have your cell with you," Lex smirked, not caring about his shirt anymore.
